20Books: Kanban for Writers

There was a session at the conference that talked about setting up a Kanban for a writer’s life. As someone who worked in manufacturing for my career, I am familiar with kanbans and had even come across the concept for elsewhere in life. This was a decent session, though, in that it assumed you knew all about your other tasks, but laid out all the writing tasks for a book. Writing, preproduction, production, and post-production (marketing). There weren’t a lot of people in the session that knew what kanban is and it was fun to watch the lightbulbs go off as they understood how it could help them. It even reminded me of some things that I could be doing to keep things moving.

Oh, and, as you can see in the photo above, it appears the pupster misses me.
