Rush Tour Opener Review: Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson’s Triumph

I have been a Rush fan since freshman year in college many Many MANY years ago. A guy on my dorm floor introduced me to their Hemispheres album (thanks Jim W). I had mostly listened to pop music during high school and Rush blew my mind with the music and lyrics. How could three guys make so much noise?

Clockwork Angels was their last album over ten years ago and everyone, including them, figured it was over when the drummer died of cancer.

As the story goes, a few years ago, they were at an event and Paul McCartney encouraged them to get back on the road someway somehow because that’s what musicians do.

So they did.

While I am not going to see them (expensive), I have watched a lot of clips from their first shows and I have teared up on some of them.

Apologies if the article is behind a paywall, I was able to read it completely from the link Rolling Stone posted on X.
