The above link is about the headquarters of a medical records software company around Madison, WI. There are cool pictures along with the article. Quite the amazing place.
I think the important take away is that the company doesn’t view themselves as a standard financially-driven Corporate America type company. They have fun and they treat their employees like adults. Adults who like to have fun. Something that has been all but stamped out of corporate life.
Epic is a large software company that does medical records. This post is not about how good the software is or people’s opinion of electronic medical records. It is about the environment they have set up for their employees.
These three signs are posted in many places around their campus. The first one is the one I’m interested in. Note the first two items. Imagine how the employees might think about that. Is that a good philosophy for attracting new employees? I think so.
