At Itasca, there is a spot in the campground with a great view of the lake. I set my phone on an old stump and take these shots. There are a lot of changes as the summer goes by. In late July, the weeds are near their max and the lily pads blooms are mostly gone. The undergrowth is also maxed out, making it hard to see much. The squirrels and chipmunks can yell at Luna to their hearts content and she can’t see them. Drives her crazy.
The view at sunset is great from here, but often we are sitting around the campfire winding down the day as sunset is still after 9pm.
