My wife is baking for the county fair competition up north. Last night was fruit pies. The best part was that she took all the left over filling, combined it, and made a, well, I’m not sure what to call the kind of pie she made. Perhaps “delicious” is the best phrase to use.
I always put on a few pounds this time of year. The extra stuff that gets made (you only need 3 cookies to enter) needs to get eaten and it is really good.
She will have about 50 entries this year. Photography and baking mostly, but there are probably some others in there also.
I need to get back to snacking…
