This was the breakfast buffet at our Bangkok hotel. A very small portion of the buffet. They have an actual honeycomb draining out into the serving dish. It was very cool.
The buffet itself was easily the biggest buffet I have ever been to. This includes all kinds of buffets in the US. Imagine the breakfasts they have out at Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express. About ten feet of counter with various foods.
Now imagine at least twenty counters like that. The counter in the picture below was just the pancake, waffle, french toast station. The guest were very international and there seemed to be breakfast items for every culture on the planet. Most options would not be considered breakfast items in the US, but everything I tried was tasty. The pineapple fried rice was surprisingly tasty for breakfast.
And they had BOTH crispy and soft bacon available at all times.
