Really, you need to look up how to pronounce Phuket. Yes, I know it is fun to say it as your inner teenager is pronouncing it.
The day we left, Bangkok was rainy and Phuket was sunny. There is a smaller airport in Bangkok that we flew out of and it was cool to see the names and tail decor on the smaller airlines.
