Last Friday, I had some dental surgery done. Not major in the absolute sense, but the first, and therefore most significant, of my life. This sounds like an excellent way to have a coffee break. The BBC makes a big deal about the “slowing down” and “taking a break”. I think the magic is multiple pastries per person. With that much sugar, plus coffee or tea, everyone is awake afterwards.
