Research Results*: When women move from their normal purse to a small purse (for example, to go to the state fair, sporting event, or concert where purse size is limited), the definition of the phrase “the absolute minimum” becomes somewhat fluid. As in “I only need to put the bare minimum in here.”
Men related to said women will have two strong emotions: (1) the definite opinion that the “absolute minimum” is still way too much stuff, and (2) intense relief that, halfway through the day, she has the one thing he needs easily reachable in her purse. Still under research is (3) the man will ask her to store something he doesn’t want to carry in her purse and she will somehow fit it in using the Mary Poppins space fold property of said purse.
